Enamelling 5 Week Evening Course
About the Course
This short course is suitable for beginners or if you would like to expand on your jewellery making experience. You will be taught some vitreous enamelling techniques and come away with several pieces of jewellery. Vitreous enamelling uses glass powders which are placed on to metal and then heated. This melts the glass and creates a beautiful, colourful piece of jewellery. All tools and materials are provided but if you are wishing to work in silver there will be a small additional charge.
Week 1: A demonstration will be given on the basics of enamelling and a project will be set.
Week 2: Students will continue with the projects from week one.
Week 3: Experiments with different enamelling techniques.
Week 4: Students working on their own projects whilst being guided by the tutor.
Week 5: Students own projects and completion of work.
Group bookings are welcome. For more information on the next workshops contact us above.
