Mrs. West accompanied her husband Mike when he visited Bigbury Mint to have his fire service medals mounted and framed. Kathleen served as a registered nurse for many years and had kept a number of uniform badges which she wished to have framed. As with her husbands medal frame, the photograph was edited and restored before mounting in the correctly sized aperture. Buttons and badges were cleaned and measured before they were placed in the medal frame.
