Alastair Hignell Medal

The Alastair Hignell Medal is 36.6mm diameter in solid silver. In the centre is a gold sovereign of the year. Its awarded for The Man of the Match in the annual Varsity Rugby match between Oxford and Cambridge University. The ribbon has two stripes, dark blue for Oxford and light blue for Cambridge University. There is a bar attached to the medal with the year in relief.
