British Citizen Award

British Citizen Awards are given to people who have been nominated by readers of the Independant Newspaper.  The medal is made in silver-plated bronze and is diamond/shield shaped.  The ribbon is dark blue. The obverse depicts the union flag with a central boss showing a temple and a laurel wreath. It reads ‘British Citizen Award . For the good of the country’
