Just received my South Atlantic Medal from Bigbury Mint and it is a pleasure to hold it in my hands again after years with out it. I lost my original due to personal and unhappy circumstances. While the rules dictate that these medals have requirements that are different to the original it is still a thing of beauty and I’m a happy man.
I wanted this for the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands war next year. I am also a volunteer for a veterans homeless charity which is holding a 2nd Anniversary Black Tie do in which I will be wearing my medal, my son’s Iraq and Afghanistan medals and something of my dad’s, a 24 year RN veteran. This will represent 3 generations of veterans and a great deal of pride.
Thank you for the superb customer service and for my medal after years of absence.
